Aristea FotopoulouAristea Fotopoulou currently works as a lecturer in media studies at the University of Brighton located in south England. Fotopoulou''s completed her PhD Thesis in 2012 at the University of Sussex which focused on feminist and queer formations of digital networks. Her research methods primary focus on media analysis in combination with ethnography. Her published work includes the 2016 book Feminist activism and new media: Digital and networked by default? as well as dozens of peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Public Understanding of Science, British Journal of Sociology, and New Media in Society and several book chapters, scientific papers and journalistic pieces.
