Sumeyra Buran 2015 Correspondence Between Cyborg Body and Cyber Self. Journal of Research in Gender Studies 5(2): 290-322. Dr. Buran currently teaches at Atatürk University in Ankara, Turkey in the English Language and Literature department. She achieved all of her degrees from the same university: the BA in 2005, her Masters in 2008 and her PhD in 2014. The piece we're reading for class this week appears to be the Turkish e quivalent of her Doctoral Thesis and the foundation for a chapter in her book TechnoFeminist Science Fiction (Readings in Contemporary Philsophy) (2015, New York: Addleton Academic Publishers).
She has a history of publication on TechnoFeminist theory as well as epistemological/pedagogical problems in a digital world. She's also interested in British Fiction, Science Fiction Literature, Women's Studies, Feminism, TechnoFeminism, and cyber-cyborg Literature
