Dr. Jessica E. Brophy2010 Developing a Corporeal Cyberfeminism: Beyond Cyberutopia. New Media & Society 12(6): 929-945. Dr. Brophy is an Assistant Professor of Communications Studies at Bridgewater College. She received her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Smith College in 2004, her M.S. in Mass Communication from the University of Maine in 2006, and her PhD in Communication and Women's Studies at the University of Maine in 2013. Her main interests include "intersections between place and technology use, and on feminist theories of technology." ( Dr. Brophy on LinkedIn). In particular, she studies the ways feminism has developed and been presented in new media as well as the way new media is taught/perceived in schools.
